The annual Frost Fest held by local rock group, Trini Metal Headquaters to aid children's homes, hosted the fourth festival on November 6th. Prior to the event, we spoke to event organizer Riad Ali about the expectations for Frost Fest IV.
The event's performers put on an excellent show. The Himalaya Club offered an excellent space and parking for and a stage fit for an adrenaline driven performance. The Supernormal Band delivered an intense performance which kick started the neck brace headbanging and dinosaur rocking. The stage featured a dynamic range of performances from the reggae rock of Alter Roots to the contorted death metal of Lynchpin to Goodnight Parlament's good old fashioned hard rock any local rocker can find their space. This concert was also the first opportunity for fans to hear from Lynchpin after their journey to Waken 2016 Metal Battle. The band showed their growth from the experience with a frighteningly dark performance throwing the mosh into a frenzy.
Patrons of the event all reacted positively, giving the organizers well deserved kudos and awaiting Frost Fest V.
The focus of this event is the spirit of Christmas giving and the Toy drive reported to net almost 700 gifts which were wrapped and delivered to children's homes across the country. St Mary's home for children, St Dominic's plainview homestead, Dar-ul-aman just to name a few are some of the homes to which the rock community through Trini Metal Headquaters helped make Christmas for less fortunate children.
